Structure Fire/301
District.....Sunday
March 30, 2008.....Whitehall Borough PA
Company 232 was requested on the 2nd alarm for a fully involved structure fire
in 301's district early Sunday morning. Crews from 232 helped with water
supply to 301T and then with fire suppression and overhaul. The fire went
to a second alarm almost immediately when police reported fire was impinging on
the two neighboring houses 20 feet away. Crews from 301, 232, 116 and RIT 119
all responded to the scene.

MVA With Door Pop........Wednesday
February 27, 2008 Borough of Pleasant Hills PA
Station 232 was
dispatched for a report of a motor vehicle crash with unknown injuries located
at the intersection of Curry Hollow Road and Green Drive. 232 Rescue arrived on
scene and Assistant 2 established command reporting a two vehicle crash with
the driver still inside of the vehicle. The driver side door was requested to
be removed to allow for access. Crews from 232 Rescue used the spreaders to
remove the driver side door. Once the driver was removed from the vehicle, the
scene was placed under control with crews removing the debris and fluids from
the road.

MVA Debris Clean Up # 2........Wednesday
February 27, 2008 Borough of Pleasant Hills PA
While crews were on the scene of the motor vehicle crash on Green Drive, another
crash occurred on Curry Hollow roughly 25 yards from the previous crash. Crews
responded to find a two vehicle rear end crash. The vehicles were removed from
the road while crews removed debris from the road.

Clean Up.....Wednesday
February 20, 2008 Borough of Pleasant Hills PA
On Wednesday February 20, 2007, station 232 was dispatched for a motor vehicle
crash with unknown injuries in front of the McDonalds on Clairton Blvd. The
caller stated that one of the vehicles was smoking. 232 Rescue arrived on scene
and 232 Assistant 2 established command reporting a two vehicle crash with
moderate damages and everyone out of the vehicle. After further investigation,
the vehicles were not smoking and once the tow arrived on scene crews removed
the debris and fluids. Command was terminated with all 232 units back in
service.

RIT Response
to Baldwin Borough.....Monday
February 18, 2008....Baldwin Borough (North)
On Monday February 18, 2007, station 232 was dispatched for a RIT response into
the Borough of Baldwin for a report of a structure fire. 106 Chief arrived on
scene and confirmed a working structure fire in a vacant structure. 232 RIT
arrived on scene and staged on side one of the structure. The structure was
total engulfed while crews made a defensive attack. Once the fire was brought
under control, command released the RIT team with no action taken.
New Bullex
Fire Training System....Borough
of Pleasant Hills PA
The Pleasant Hills Fire Company just purchased the Bullex Fire Extinguisher
Training System. We are planning to use the system to train school teachers, day
care workers, borough employees, health care workers, and our own members. The
system comes with class A, B, and C stainless steel training props.
Apartment Fire With Entrapment....Friday
February 8, 2008 City of Duquesne PA
Station 232
was dispatched to the City of Duquesne for an apartment fire with reportedly
people trapped in a 4 story apartment building. 232 Engine responded and
helped with RIT and also some exterior and interior fire operations. There were
no reports of any firefighters injured. Some residents were treated for
smoke inhalation at the scene and at nearby hospitals.
Large Diesel Fuel Spill.....February
3, 2008....Jefferson Hills PA
Station 232
was dispatched to assist station 180 with a large diesel spill on Route 51
between Route 43 and Old Clairton Road. 232 Rescue responded non emergency and
arrived on scene and started to assist with applying oil dry. Once the oil dry
was in place, crews assist with traffic control while Nickolich Towing removed
the product.
Structure Fire Assist.......Jefferson
Hills Borough PA
Station 232 was dispatched to assist station 180 for a report of a shed on fire
near a structure. 911 reported that the fire is extending into the roof of the
house. 180 Chief arrived on scene and established command reporting a shed on
fire with extension into the roof of the house. Crews from station 180 and 123
quickly knock down the fire and started to overhaul. 232 Engine and Truck were
standing by on scene to offer assistance. Command reported the fire under
control and released released all units with the exception of station 180.
