Freddie The Fire Truck
The PHVFC just added another piece of apparatus to our fleet.  This is
no ordinary piece of apparatus, its Freddie the Firetruck.  Freddie is
an exciting new way to teach fire safety to children.  A fully
animated robot, Freddie moves, speaks, listens and is equipped with
emergency lighting and an audible siren.  He has a special surprise for
the kids that do not pay attention.  Freddie can activate his water
sprayer to gain their attention.

Freddie is a valuable tool to our fire prevention program.  He
promotes life saving tips such as stop, drop, and roll, dialing 9-1-1,
evacuation routes, meeting places, and describes the dangers involved
with playing with matches and lighters.  It is a proven fact that kids
can relate to Freddie because he talks to them at eye level.  He is
highly visible with his headlights, taillights, and warning lights.
These features allow Freddie to maneuver through classrooms and
restricted areas.
